Taiwan Tourism Administration, Los Angeles, introduces the Share My Taiwan Expat Series with cycling, new cultural experiences, and travel incentives ahead.
LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, October 26, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Taiwan Tourism Administration, Los Angeles (TTALA), is introducing the Share My Taiwan Expat Series, a new approach to developing tourism experiences for North American travelers through the perspectives of long-term expats who have made Taiwan home.
Drawing on their firsthand knowledge of Taiwan, personal discoveries, and recommendations, the series helps shape bookable journeys around specific traveler interests.
Rather than traditional sightseeing, the concept starts with what these expats have come to know and love about Taiwan, then translates those insights into curated experiences tailored to North American travelers.

Exploring Taiwan on Two Wheels
The series begins with Ride Taiwan Deep, a five-day journey that offers a different way to discover Taiwan—by bicycle—traveling along the island’s west coast through scenic routes, local food, cultural stops, historic communities, and places visitors might otherwise miss.
Designed for intermediate cyclists, the itinerary draws on the perspective of Logan Beck, a longtime American expat and cyclist who has spent years living and riding in Taiwan. His knowledge of the island’s cycling routes and communities helped shape the journey.
North American endurance cyclist and fitness professional Gabriel Farmer joined Beck on the ride, experiencing Taiwan for the first time as an international visitor. The two are also friends who have ridden together in the United States. Their experiences from this tour offer two perspectives on the same journey: one from someone who has made the island home and one from a North American cyclist experiencing it as a visitor. Follow TTA’s official Instagram, @taiwantourism.na, to see their interactions and discoveries in Taiwan.
Following the positive response to the inaugural Ride Taiwan Deep tour in October, a second departure will be offered in November, giving more travelers the opportunity to experience the five-day journey. Travelers can learn more at Ride Taiwan Deep on Get Me to Taiwan.
For cyclists looking for an even greater challenge, the 15th annual Taiwan KOM Challenge takes place November 1–2, challenging riders to push their limits across Taiwan’s mountainous terrain. Registration is now open.

From Cycling to Experiences Unique to Taiwan
The Share My Taiwan Expat Series will extend beyond cycling. TTALA is developing its next chapter around different aspects of life and culture in Taiwan, again drawing on an expat perspective to help travelers explore a more local side of the destination.
Whether it’s enjoying a traditional Taiwanese breakfast, sipping tea-infused mocktails, exploring a wet market, or discovering local finds at an open-air arts and crafts gathering, the goal is to uncover the places, flavors, and local gems that appeal to North American travelers.

More Reasons to Visit Taiwan Now
The Taiwan Tourism Administration is also introducing a new incentive program for returning international travelers.
For those visiting Taiwan from October 10, 2026, through March 31, 2027, eligible returning international independent travelers will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for NT$5,000 in spending credits, while an accompanying friend or family member may receive an additional NT$3,000, for a total of up to NT$8,000 during their Taiwan trip.
Registration is now open, and travelers must register 7–90 days before arrival to enter the drawing. To qualify, travelers must have previously visited Taiwan for tourism at least once since January 1, 2023, and meet additional campaign requirements. For complete eligibility, registration, drawing, and redemption requirements, as well as winner announcements, please visit the official website.
With new experiences built around the perspectives of people who know Taiwan and an added incentive to return, Taiwan is giving North American travelers more ways to discover the island and find their own story to Share My Taiwan.
